  • This state park is ideal for those want want quick and easy access to downtown Mobile Alabama or for those who like fishing and boating. It also makes a nice stopover if you are on a long journey on interstate 10. There are a couple of nice boardwalks that go out over the mudflats and there is a large osprey nest near the waterfront. There is a short walking trail through a small wooded area. Park volunteers are really a good bunch! Very safe feeling. The campground itself is surrounded by a tall chain link fence and front gates are locked around 5pm. After that, only campers with the gate code can get in. Restrooms are minimal but clean. There are 2 showers.
  • This is a lovely park! I love to see God's beautiful birds and this park had a lot of pretty birds and butterflies. I only paid $2 to park for the day and there was enough parking. They also have people stay and do camping. I saw plenty of RVs and cabin buildings. I liked the hiking trails to see the beauty of nature. I noticed some people went boating, kayaking and fishing here also!!
