A great little historic area. This site is great for photos. We took some engagement photos there a few years ago. There is a foot bridge over a Hudson River tributary that allows for panoramic views of the Bear Mountain Bridge. There is a small historic fort area and visitor center. The main trail is easy grade with rocks. It's about half a mile from the Bear Mountain Bridge and state park. It was perfect for our 8 year old niece who is not accustomed to the outdoors. We also saw three deer!
I was there yesterday with my family and we had a great time. They have a live band that plays on Friday and Saturday nights. The atmosphere was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. My waitress Sam was wonderful. It's has a beautiful view of the Hudson River. The only downfall was the women restrooms that were kind of dirty and need it more upkeep but otherwise, everything was great.
