Lake Anna State Park, Spotsylvania

Really fantastic campgrounds. They have nice large plots for each site, with an area filled with pea gravel for your tents. Don't have to worry about sticks or rocks in your back all night. They also have a huge picnic table that is wheelchair accessible. The fire ring is really nice with an adjustable height grill. Also included is a pole for hanging food or trash. There is a camp monitor to help deal with late night troublemakers as well. We stopped and looked at the yurts as well and they were really nice inside...that will be our next stay! Lots to do here...fun Beach area with snacks. Plenty of hiking trails. Bathrooms are nice and clean. There are plenty of showers - which have plenty of hot water, have great pressure, and are free! Also available are laundry machines (2 washers and 2 dryers). They have machines for making changing and getting soap as well. Overall very impressed with facilities and quality of the maintenance. Would highly recommend!

We had a great time. Was pretty crowded but we managed. I would suggest that instead of ordering everyone out of the water to check for bracelets, perhaps have someone stand at the opening to check people before entering the beach area.... :) def suggest bringing a canopy and your grill to get the best experience. You can prop your grill where ever and cook for your family. We will def plan better next trip :) Kids loved it
