  • We stopped by again this winter because I wanted to see what the park looked like with the snow and its gorgeous! Beautiful hiking trail! There are so many unique things to see if you spend enough...

  • We were driven from Peck's to put into the River at Tower Hill State Park . Nice landing. We took a detour on the River to paddle up Mill Creek to the Shot Tower. Interesting!

  • Great little state park that I'm guessing is very overlooked by many people given all the attractions near by. Course this little state park also has a very interesting attraction that you definitely don't see just anywhere, a shot making tower, which is very high up and has a tunnel at the bottom you can hike into and check out which is a very unique experience you don't find just anywhere. On the flip side though, it's not a very long hike but the shortest route requires a hike up hill to the top as well as stairs and the same is true for the second section from the top, and unfortunately the trail is currently closed from the second section to the bottom so you have to hike down to the bottom and around to see the tunnel or take the river if you have a canoe or kayak, but it's worth the trip I thought.
  • This is a really enjoyable experience. Moderate hiking trails with elevations that after a rain could prove to be difficult from washing away. Excellent scenery once getting to the top. The cave hike is worthy of the return hike up the hill. There is tent camping and a reservable enclosed pavilion, all of which would be an excellent way to spend a weekend here. No electricity or water is available at campsites but that should never be a deterrent.
