  • This Library is right beside the Springfield museums. It is really big. Worth a peek inside to see and visit.

  • Stunningly beautiful and well maintained library. Excellent place to visit just to enjoy the architectural style and embellishments. Hospitable staff and well-appointed Children's area. On the grounds of Springfield Museums, with the back entrance leading to a large courtyard and the Dr. Seuss Sculpture Park. There are free parking lots on State Street across from the front of the Library and on Edwards Street in the museum lot.
  • This library was so thoughtful to do a cute Blind Date with a Book table for Valentine’s Day! Each book summary looked carefully curated and explained. They even included some Lindt chocolates as a sweet touch!! I was so impressed and excited to see this. Barnes & Noble and Etsy do these “blind dates with books” but of course you have to pay for them and then what if you don’t like the book? It’s such a good idea for public libraries to do them! I really felt like the Springfield librarians went out of their way to add a thoughtful touch to this program. Not to mention the library was very quiet and peaceful today when I went to visit, the bathrooms were clean, and the staff were helpful.
