Willamalane Park and Recreation District maintains and operates five recreation facilities and 42 parks and natural areas totaling nearly 1,500 acres. Highlights include Splash! at Lively Park, Camp Putt Adventure Golf Park, 13 waterfront areas, 21 miles of hiking and biking trails, 15 sports fields and 24 playgrounds. Willamalane offers hundreds of recreation programs to more than 60,000 patrons. Created by voters in 1944, Willamalane is a special tax district, separate from the city of Springfield, with its own boundaries. It is governed by a five-member, elected board of directors and managed by a district superintendent. Online information is available at

  • There are awesome trails,all though the filbert fields that run into trails short (returns to fields) and long that run along the river all the way to Eugene. The only thing to note, it the steep...  more »
  • Out for a walk searching for geo caches. Nice area for just walking around. Great 4 mile bike path to Clearwater park along the Willamette river. And more geo caches there. Grand kids have a good...  more »
  • We had fun bumping around... Maybe next time we'll be there for the living history of the ranch. My wife's grandfather helped plant some of the filbert trees at the ranch, so it was a nice piece of personal history. Fun with the family.!
  • I love this park. It is a very nice walk in the woods (all flat). We love bringing our dog!
