Description

Willamalane Park and Recreation District maintains and operates five recreation facilities and 42 parks and natural areas totaling nearly 1,500 acres. Highlights include Splash! at Lively Park, Camp Putt Adventure Golf Park, 13 waterfront areas, 21 miles of hiking and biking trails, 15 sports fields and 24 playgrounds. Willamalane offers hundreds of recreation programs to more than 60,000 patrons. Created by voters in 1944, Willamalane is a special tax district, separate from the city of Springfield, with its own boundaries. It is governed by a five-member, elected board of directors and managed by a district superintendent. Online information is available at www.willamalane.org.

  • BEWARE: !!! I just saw a cougar near the tree line and then it ran into the wooded area. This is just up from the first parking lot on the left here at Dorris Ranch.. If you walk up towards the hill with the towers on it, where the power lines run across. It was in the grassy open area at first, when it saw my dog and I, it ran, stopped, turned looked at us again then went in the woods. PICS of location INCL...
  • Hands down my favorite spot in Lane County. The peacefulness of the filbert orchards, river path, and oak woodland gives you multiple changes of scenery all within one three mile walk. No matter the season, I always feel like “walking the Ranch” has taken me back to a simpler time.
