Travel back to St. Augustine's beginnings as a Spanish colony at Colonial Quarter. The admission price includes a historical adventure tour led by a costumed guide. Tours take you back to the 16th century with the arrival of the Spanish colonists and bring to to the British colonization in the 18th century. Explore settlement buildings, a ship-building site, blacksmith, and a public house and tapas tavern. Get to know the performers who bring history back to life, such as the blacksmith pounding on his anvil and the guard who greets you in the watchtower. At the dig site you can search for artifacts from the original colony. • This looks like a little patch of dirt with a few buildings sitting here and there… but once your guide takes you through it and shows you all the Colonial living stuff… you will be amazed...

  • Do not skip this! Phenomenal tour, so informative, fun, and a great addition to your trip! We only had a few hours and I’m so glad we did this. Bert was our guide and did an amazing job! Great for elementary kids!
  • I wish I could remember our tour guide's name, but maybe you'll recognize her from photos! She was great. I thought my son would enjoy this place since he loves Heritage Village in Largo. I ended up enjoying it just as much! There's a cool blacksmith demo and great historical rundowns of the area and life back in the colonial days. There are also some interactive elements, a boat display, a flag exhibit from every flag flown over the city since the original Spanish conquest, and the place ends at the gorgeous historic de Mesa-Sanchez House. Must visit for any history buff. Also, the ticket seller gave us a nice discount for having visited the Pirate and Treasure Museum right next door, and was really helpful in navigating us to our restaurant afterwards.
