Taste handcrafted spirits and see the preparation and distillation process at St. Augustine Distillery. The distillery produces small batches of vodka, gin, rum, and Florida's only brand of small-batch bourbon. After the tasting tour, you can buy the distillery's products and memorabilia at its store. Children are welcome to take a tour, but visitors under 21 won't be able to taste the drinks. While the distillery doesn't serve food, the building has a restaurant. Tours and tastings are free. If you arrive by car, you can use the distillery's free parking. Neat place with lots of interesting historical displays and information about their distilling processes with plaques, pictures, and displays. We did a self-guided tour through the distillery which was quite adequate for our time frame and very informative. If we'd had more time we would have called ahead to arrange for an in-person guided tour, which I'm sure would have been excellent. Staff is friendly and very approachable if you have questions; they clearly take pride in their place of work. The various tasting stations are a nice touch and certainly add to the experience. The varieties of bourbon, gin, and rum, as well as the ready-made mixers are delicious. (Suggestion: Eat something beforehand. The samples aren't huge, but they are fairly potent on an empty stomach! 😉) There is also a store which offers for purchase all the various products from the distillery, with a tasting station so you can sample what you're thinking of buying. All very low-key, there is no pushiness to get you to buy anything, they obviously know just how excellent their products are! The restrooms are very clean and roomy and ever so quaint - worth a visit, too! Accessibility is good and there is ample parking around the building.

This is an absolute must! The staff are very friendly and the drinks are amazing! Not to mention, the self guided tour and samples are free! I’m not a drinker, I am a light weight and I only went here so I could take my husband…. So glad I did! I took the shot samples like a champ and enjoyed the drinks and the experience just as much as my husband did. The gin and tonic mix was the second shot we took and it was delicious!! We bought the gift box to take home! This was the best stop on our St. Augustine trip! Thanks St. A distillery!
