Wow! What a place! Stayed in a "cottage", but it is really a nicely appointed house. Staff is very friendly. Park is very well maintained. But the NATURE CENTER!!!! Small but really nice exhibits, some hands-on. Excellent info provided by the interpretive manager, William Park. Will be back for nature programs throughout the year!

We are staying in the campground site #58. Sites on this loop are nice, have some privacy and are all full hook-up. Bathrooms are all unisex, single toilet, sink, shower combo. My husband reports the shower heads and water temperature are mediocre. There are a lot of hiking & biking trails, a nature center and a small store. Volunteers are friendly, campground is quiet. What prevents this park from being a 5 star is the biting insects. No matter how much deep woods off I apply, I get bitten. I was at urgent care this AM for some relief (counted 28 welts on upper right arm from shoulder to elbow. Other arm & legs are similarly affected).
