Chihuly Collection houses the only permanent collection of artist Dale Chihuly, whose glass sculptures have graced the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Louvre. Highlights include the Ruby Red Icicle Chandelier, commissioned specifically for the museum, which hangs from the ceiling. With spikes poking out at all angles, the chandelier resembles a sea anemone. For an in-depth look at Chihuly’s work, take a tour led by one of the museum’s knowledgeable docents. You can buy a combination ticket, which will allow you to finish the experience by stopping by the Glass Studio & Hot Shop to watch glassblowers create new works. • Chihuly is truly the MASTER of blown glass and his work is shown world wide. We travelled from the east coast of Florida to view his work and we were absolutely amazed with the symphony of color in every piece, the size and shapes each complimenting the other. Words fail to describe the beauty of his work. Each piece is clearly a labor of love! A MUST SEE COLLECTION!
  • Doesn't take long to walk through the few exhibits. The longest part is watching the video showing him setting up different displays. There is a 45 minute glass blowing demonstration at select times, a bit slow and pretty hot, but neat to learn how much effort goes into something so simple.
