Stokesdale is a town in the northwestern corner of Guilford County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 3,267 at the 2000 census. At the 2010 census, the population had risen to 5,047. The racial makeup of the town was 90.69% White, 6.95% African American, 0.31% Native American, 0.67% Asian, 0.46% from other races, and 0.92% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.93% of the population.There were 1,201 households out of which 38.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.9% were married couples living together, 7.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.9% were non-families. 16.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.67 and the average family size was 2.99.
