  • absolutely stunning walk along the lake with ample trails in park and nearby. Nice little history about sunken ship in park area, bathrooms clean, and in various points throughout park, lush colors...  more »
  • We enjoyed our hike there yesterday. Be sure to go to the lake and then take the trail all the way to the county park. There are big roots to walk over, but certainly doable. We did find that...  more »

  • There are changing rooms, restrooms, and a welcome center. The path along the beach is wide and easy and there are several places to go down to the beach. The beach is nice enough to hang out, lay out a blanket, and sun bath with lots of other people. The waves can be decent on some days. We visited there during our trip to Door County and went into the water. It was August so the water was about 72 and that was too cold for some, but I thought it was nice and refreshing. The beach water bottom is very smooth and nice. Easy to go in.
  • We were there today before the bad storms rolled in. We decided to explore the park before our trip. The waves were large and we expressed our concern about the quality the trip would be then and told it would ba issue if they don't cancel. Our guide did her best, but there were 4ft swells and 14ish mph winds. Today we felt like a dollar sign not a customer they cared about. 25 percent of the guests were sea sick due to the waves. The 2hr trip was cut short by a group decision to a hour because we were miserable. I really was disappointed today. I understand that you cannot control the weather but you can control your decisions when not addressing the weather issue. How much is our money really worth to you? Look at my profile, I have never left a negative review this detailed. Please rethink how you handle these situations. We would have like to have been offered a refund before we launched due to the poor conditions or hell, even after we all agreed to cut the trip in half due to conditions. Instead, nothing has been offered as of yet. Even if you do nothing for us, please reconsider your actions next time the weather is as bad as it was today. Give people a choice.
