  • Beautiful scenery, relaxing float perfect for kids. We will definitely do this float again. Little hectic at the start wondering if we would all fit on the bus…perhaps a numbering system would make...

  • Nice campground next to the Meramec River, just south of I-44 and 1.5 hours from St. Louis. The park would have received 5 stars if the pathways down to the river were finished...installing 3 steps...

  • We stayed there over the weekend and it was so much fun. Our space was shaded, quiet, and close proximity to the shower house-1. Their shower and bathroom facility was really good and well taken care of. Our site was a basic tent space without any hookups. It came with a picnic table, fire ring, and a lantern pole. The campground was very well maintained and someone from their crew could be seen on a golf cart every other hour monitoring the place. It was really safe, and our neighbors were respectful, quiet, and didn't bother us at all during our stay. Only con is- the sites seemed to be very close to each other. However, there's still plenty of space. On top, Fisher Cave is at a walking distance, and so many beaches for swimming. Would highly recommend it for a family weekend trip. • This is a lovely State Park with nice, clearly blazed walking trails. The bigger cave is closed for the season and most of the smaller ones are closed due to wns but it's fun to see the outside of them. Even though it's winter, there are still many beautiful sights to see. From Pine Forests to ferns peeking out below a blanket of leaves, there's something everywhere you look.
