  • It is winter here so it is the quiet season which means we had the place almost to ourselves. Sadly this meant the trees and gardens were sad and walking around the grounds was very chilly. That said I could not recommend the Chickasaw Cultural Centre highly enough. Despite the cold we had a great time here. The dancers put on a great show just for the 2 of us (no one else was in the theatre). Very good exhibition. The museum is a wonderful place to find out about the Chickasaw Nation with some terrific displays (many hands on). The staff were knowledgeable and happy to chat & explain things. The cafe by the theatre is inexpensive and would suit most tastes (I had a traditional dish they called "Chickasaw Special" - tasty). My only criticism is that the prices in the gift shop are very high when I compare them with similar places we have visited. Bottom line is do not miss this extremely important and interesting centre.
  • I loved this place. There is a lot to do for everyone in the family. The staff was very knowledgeable and nice, the food was delicious and the theater was super high tech. Wonderful place, I would recommend it to any and everyone. The staff tells not only the tribe history, but the state history, and the history of the land! So neat!
