  • It's a nice place to be outdoors but a better map system would be appreciated. Hot, dusty, bring water and dress in layers. It's about 45 minutes walking to the ridge.
  • Pleasant strip of parkland, sandwiched between a motorway and some private forest. Small number of mature trees that give a little shelter in summer. You will see some cows who don't seem to mind hikers, Kingsnakes, lizards, condors, mule deer and the occasional mountain biker. Walking paths are medium toughness, and there are simple gravel roads for 4WD vehicles. Nice views of the whole area. It gets hot in the summer, so make sure you know where the water tap is!
