  • Been playing courses in the Myrtle Beach area for 40 years. This is without a doubt one of the best. Staff was very helpful and course was in great shape. Will definitely play again.  more »
  • Our local charity supporting veterans in the area (Committee to Honor America’s Veterans) put on our annual fundraiser golf outing. We filled the course with 180 golfers, fed them a breakfast...  more »
  • My wife and I have been playing Thistle for many years. Today we went to play and had a gift certificate given to us by the previous club professional. The certificate we purchased was for four rounds of golf and a 5 lesson plan. The lessons were great and very helpful for my wife and I. Unfortunately I required back surgery in 2018 and did not play golf for 13 months so we were not able to use the certificates. When I presented the certificate to the gentleman in the pro shop he immediately said he would not honor the four rounds. He stated “We do not honor certificates that are more than a year old”. There was nothing on the certificate that indicated an expiration date. The only restriction was the certificate could not be used in April or October. The gentleman was very rude and grudgingly agreed to only allow us to use two of the four free rounds and said he was taking the certificate so we could not use the other two rounds. He acted as though I was taking the greens fees directly out of his paycheck. There was no reason for him to be so rude. If certificates are only valid for one year it should say that on the certificate. The 2 out of 5 rating is only for the pro shop staff member who was very rude. The course was great as always but I will find it hard to return in the near future.
  • Course was in great condition. Greens were true and rolled smooth. Rough was trimmed well around greens. Fairways were plush. A+ on the course maintenance. Beautiful clubhouse. One of best courses I've played in Calabash, NC and surrounding area. Ranks with TPC on Pawleys island.
