At Antelope Island State Park, explore the natural habitats of local wildlife, including one of the largest groups of free-roaming American Bison in the United States. The 11,700 hectares (28,800 acres) of this state park are located on the largest island within the Great Salt Lake, accessed by a two-lane causeway. The park is best known for its scenic views, especially from the northern Buffalo Point and White Rock Bay. Besides viewing antelope, bighorn sheep, deer, and other desert animals, you can experience various recreational activities like camping, bird watching, cycling, and hiking. You can also walk along the white sand beaches of the lake's salty shorelines and swim here, as well). • Spent the day. An e-bike tour. A road trip around the island. A very enjoyable, quiet day. We saw Bison, Antelope and fox. The e-bikes were great.

  • Antelope Island is a great place. The views from all angles are amazing and varied. It gets quite hot in the summer and since it's an island (and thus near water) there are actually bugs here (unlike a lot of Utah) so beware. Bison roam freely here and it's fun to watch them (from a distance, don't get close to them). Sometimes they block the path you're trying to hike so just be prepared to wait for them.
  • Visiting antelope island was an amazing choice for an adventure in UT - even if you are only here for a few days. Very kid friendly, fun, lots to see and places to take amazing photos! There are a variety of animals, a ranch, look out spots, ebikes, and more! We were stunned by the views, the well kept gift shop, visitor center, bathrooms, information and more! Such a cool place. I would highly recommend to anyone. We were blown away and it was worth the small trek from the city.
