Has to be the most beautiful, serene location in the country for a US Veterans memorial. Beautiful memorials for all five branches of service, additional statues and memorials for local and regional divisions, and a separate area of honor for Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. Also a very informative exhibit on the part Alaska played in American wars all the way back to The Civil War.

Definitely worth the stop for photos and a read og valiant efforts. Camping is permitted here when the Byers Lake campground is full.
