WHEN IT'S DARK. I SEE THE LIGHTS!Put Aurora Dora at the forefront of your travel plans using our Talkeetna planner.
"Aurora" Dora Miller relocated from São Paulo, Brazil, to Alaska in 2001 and has been chasing and photographing Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) ever since.
"I have never heard about the Northern Lights before I moved to Alaska. The first time I saw them it was love at first sight. That was it! From there on I knew what I wanted to do, share the Auroras with the world and show them to everyone who doesn't have the opportunity to see the Northern Lights. That's what I have been doing since."
Her Aurora images have been published by NASA, Alaska Magazine, Last Frontier Magazine, Nature Photographer Magazine, Northwest Travel & Life Magazine and many other publications. Her unique work has been used by the Geophysical Institute, the University of Alaska and the Society of Nature Photographers.
Her creations can be seen here on her website www.AuroraDora.com, in many Lodges in Alaska and at her gallery, Aurora Dora, in downtown Talkeetna, Alaska (Main Street & Talkeetna Spur Road)

Been to Alaska a few times but unfortunately never when the Auroras are visible. Going to her shop, meeting Dora, gave us the opportunity to see the beauty and magnificence of them through her work... more »
Beautiful Photography. Dora spent over an hour explaining her photography and the contents of the pictures. Ordered a metal print of"Talkeetna Aurora & Milky Way". It arrived safely at my home in Michigan with no charge for shipping. This is the best store I saw on my trip to Alaska.
Amazing Photographer. She loves to share her work with her customers and also share the stories behind the photos. We purchased three of her photos of the aurora taken locally in Talkeetna Alaska and will cherish these forever. Dora is an amazing person. Can not recommend her wonderful photography highly enough. Do yourself a favour and visit her gallery whenever in Talkeetna. You will not be disappointed.
