We stopped by on a rainy day for a hike, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The lake looked beautiful even on a foggy lake. There were people fishing and kayaking even in the rain. The trails are well marked - though the mosquitoes are numerous and fierce, able to get to you through a rain jacket! So be prepared. There are lots of different places to park. There are public restrooms, and maps for the trails with clear markings. We hope to be back on a better weather day, and give Byers Lake another go.

This place is magical. Awesome hikes, beautiful lake, amazing wildlife, and Denali is right there! Can't ask for more. Heads up though the wood stoves really heats those cabins up!
