  • A pleasant option to intersperse with the tours in the parks and outlets. Well-maintained structure is interesting for the little ones. If it's off season (summer) I advise to go on weekends. We went in the middle of the week (Wednesday) and some things weren't working on the day (we couldn't ex see the kangaroo we wanted very much).

  • It has been a couple years since we visited the zoo and we're pleased with some of the changes. The venue is nice and clean still, the animals look good and even though it was a hot day, they didn't seem bothered. This is a nice place to bring the family. Take your time and enjoy the displays. .. or in the case of the Orangutans, being on display. :)
  • We were very impressed with ZooTampa at Lowry Park. All the exhibits were well looked after, and we enjoyed every minute at the park. It is well-organized, and a will take you the better part of the day to explore. It is best that you arrive at opening, as many of the animals seek shelter during the heat of the day. The Zoo's commitment to working with other facilities to save endangered animals, especially not the "pretty ones" that people pay $$ to see, is quite commendable. The water log ride in the middle of the park is a nice refreshing "splash" in the middle of a hot summer day. There are also plenty of opportunities for smaller children to splash around.
