Victorian, historic and still #5 Best Ski Hotel in North America (Condé Nast Traveler 2011) and right in the heart of town
The New Sheridan Telluride hotel opened in 1895 as the "go-to place" for miners who struck it rich, now completely restored and renovated in 2008.
There are just 26 historic rooms and suites - all with modern luxury fittings. Period style furnishings, layers of damask, rich period colors, luxury bedding, baths and bathrobes – create the ambiance of the only luxury boutique of the hotels in Telluride – an understated, layered luxury that is, yet, distinctly affordable.

New Sheridan Hotel reviews
We booked a regular suite and got upgraded for a fairly nominal fee to the Ballard Suite. The pros: Location! Front and center to town. Perfect amount of space for our small family. The Ballard Suite.... more »

Our room was fabulous! Lovely bathroom, amazingly comfy bed, and lots of space to spread out. We had a room with windows facing the busy Main Street and we didn’t have issues with noise. We had a lovely dinner in their restaurant, a great night’s sleep, and a delicious breakfast there the next morning. Our server for breakfast was the sweetest woman and gave us tips on things to see and do. Wish we’d booked more than one night at New Sheridan! Hope to be back soon :)
Drinks are strong and in tall glasses,I could only drink 1/4 cause I got too buzzed, we're not in Utah anymore 😂 I was impressed with the food. My Ruben sandwich was one of the best I've had and my husband loved the Turkey club. They make their own potato chips which weren't the best. We would definitely eat here again. They appear to be a very popular restaurant so definitely make reservations ahead of time.
