There have been some major renovations to streamline the displays downstairs. There's another museum, Old Town, upstairs. It will be open for tours and private parties, too.

A nice collection of model electric train engines and rolling stock. Several working layouts. Lots of pictures and video of the local history. Friendly folks to run the trains and answer questions. A fun place to visit.

I came here with the Student Support Services at Texarkana College, and I was amazed at how this place was. The main level was the train museum with a downstairs area for the gift shop, even though the gift shop was not much. Just above the railroad museum on the second level is the Old Town Museum with how Broad Street use to be in the 1900s. Some of the doors will not open, but there is a saloon that can be used for meetings. The only bathroom in this place is in the railroad museum. There should of been another one. Great experience overall. I would like to visit the other museums in this town as well.
