The museum does a wonderful job placing the history of Thomasville within the broader context of the region and breaking down its story into logical time blocks that makes it easier to comprehend. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. This place is a gem offering a superior quality interpretive experience not usually expected in small towns. Historic buildings on the property are lovingly maintained well and I especially enjoyed the unique play house and bowling alley that would resonate well with young visitors.

It's a nice place to look around. Theres several great buildings in the back. The welcome was not that friendly but it was around lunch time and folks do get hungry. The self guilded tour is 5.00 per adult and guided tours are 8.00 We were not offered a guided tour I guess because of the time. We usually enjoy a guided tour more. It's is worth the time to visit.
