  • We took our 3 and 6 year old on the bike trail for an outdoor Florida riding experience and the Flatwoods trail did not disappoint. Went just after lunch so it wasn’t crowded. I would recommend...

  • Awesome park to enjoy a bike ride, long walk with the puppies, grab a nice run in, push a friend in a wheelchair, roller blade a few miles, or just wander through some of the landscape that real Florida is known for! Tons of wildlife and birds galore. Watched a Red-tailed Hawk eat some dinner as I enjoyed the crisp Florida air. It's $2 to park, cash or credit and there are bathrooms available in the parking lot area. The park does have a strict close time so plan your adventure accordingly. Definitely a nice local Tampa spot that is quiet and peaceful. Right at dusk allows for some fantastic photos with the beautiful sun setting into the forest. It's so nice to have the paved trails but there are also some hiking trails in the woods as well if that is more your style!
  • The facilities are very well maintained! Lots of cool native Florida plants around the building, the butterfly garden was very pretty. This is a great trail for biking, rollerblading, running, walking, getting out with your dog, and nature. Watching. Lots of wildlife, birds, bunnies, deer, hogs. This is such a beautiful area to relax and get into nature!
