  • We took our dog for a hike at Catoctin Mountain Park while passing through the area. Very pretty area and nice hiking trails. Parking at the visitor center, we did the Falls-Hog Rock-Blue Ridge...

  • Comfortable driving distances from Baltimore or Washington DC. There are relaxing walking trails for beginners or people who like challenges. The park rangers at the visitor center are very friendly and resourceful. The facility is clean. Plenty of parking spaces throughout the park which are great. This park is pet friendly. There are also historical perspectives embedded in a few trails. This makes the trip more interesting. The view at several summits are worth of the trip.
  • I thoroughly enjoyed this Park. Actually I could spend a lot more than a day or two. So scenic and refreshing. Pretty nice crowd. Enjoy the cool tree covered trails. Secluded and not noisey was big plus.
