  • My son and I camped for three nights and were super pleased with our experience here. We did the long beach walk north to the end of the sand spit, the shorter beach walk south to the caves and tide.....  more »
  • PART OF THE THREE CAPES We stopped here as part of the '3 Capes' tour while traveling around Oregon. It's a beautiful spot for a picnic, trail hike or beach walk. There's a decent sized parking lot...  more »
  • I love camping here. The beach is beautiful and always clean. You can see the stars at night vividly and the proximity to Tillamook cannot be overstated. The tide creates really cool features on the beach and makes it so you can always walk over the dunes and see a new landscape. Perfect for digging sandcastles, playing soccer on the beach, or playing in the surf. I can't wait to come back again next year!
  • Beautiful park with great trails right on the coast. There are three main hiking trails to chose from: Cape Lookout Viewpoint, a South Trail, and the North Trail. The North Trail is 2.3 miles one way, with a moderate difficulty. It hikes up around to a day use area. The South Trail leads to a private, white sand beach just south of the actual Cape. The beach is beautiful and has shallow water extending several hundred feet which makes for fun wading. There are often whole sand dollars that can be found as well. The trail is 1.8 miles one way but at a moderate to difficult rating, all downhill going down to the beach and uphill coming back. The Cape trail is a 2.4 mile trail that leads out to the tip of the peninsula. It has the best views up high of the Oregon coast. All trails are in lush, cool forests. Roots and rocks are common on all of them, and there are some steep dropoff which could be dangerous for younger kids. Dogs allowed on leash. All trails start from the main parking area where there are pit toilets.
