  • Great memories from here as a child and I don't believe that anything has changed. It's a great place to take children and a wonderful location for romance and weddings. Not to mention, HLG is absolutely gorgeous both in its landscapes and its arboretums. (they have them separated by climate, in order to display plant life from every corner of the world). A fantastic place to learn so it's surely visited by many school groups. There is ample hiking and - surprisingly - the grounds have a very high mountain (not sure on its actual height) on which one can capture some gorgeous photos. I could go on-and-on about Hidden Lake Gardens but I'll let you experience its wonder and tell your friends about it!
  • Beautiful place, family and pet friendly grounds, and the spring bulb show is BEAUTIFUL even when the rest of the outdoors of Michigan is still mostly brown. There’s miles of paved trails to drive, bike, or walk, and in the winter there’s cross country skiing. Acres and acres to wander through and many nice picnic areas.
