Bird Cage Theatre, Tombstone

4.3
Originally built in 1881 as a theater, saloon, gambling parlor, and brothel, Bird Cage Theatre features original decor, including 120 bullet holes in the walls. Here you can visit rooms that have been untouched for over 100 years, and be in the same bedroom where Wyatt Earp stayed. See the infamous bird cages suspended on the wall just below the ceiling, where ladies of the night entertained their clients. In 1882, The New York Times called it "the wildest, wickedest night spot between Basin Street and the Barbary Coast." Ask the staff for a ghost tour. • Wow! The history here is awesome! To step back in time was surreal! I would love to visit again! The whole town of Tombstone AZ was simply like stepping back in time! We also went into Big Nose Kate's, The OK Coral, the Town Hall and was able to experience so much. We would definitely be back! Ps.. make sure you have lots of water! It's HOT there.. food is expensive there as well as most of the souvenirs.
  • I have been wanting to go there for many years. It was everything I wanted it to be and then some. The staff was wonderful and answered every question that was ask. Tombstone Arizona is a place where you will not have a boring minutes at all . I will be back one day.
