  • We had a great family stay here in 3 of the cabins, and Mark the owner was so friendly and accommodating, as well as the other staff. The dinner and breakfast at the cafe were very good and so convenient. It was a short drive to all of the Mount St. Helens lookouts and attractions. I think people need to just keep in mind that this is more like camping, and if you want climate control and more amenities you should look elsewhere. That being said there are heaters in the cabins (although it was warm when we went so didnt need them) and shared facilities with shower and bathroom that are kept in good shape.
  • We rented a 2-person cabin. It was clean, the bed was surprisingly comfy, it had plenty of blankets and pillows, and the cabin stayed cozy warm. The bathroom was about 20ft from the cabin, clean, with a toilet, sink, shower, and fully heated. If you're looking for Wifi and television, this is not the place--there is none of that and it's intentional. It's not what this place is for. If you want to escape, unplug, and recharge, there is no better place than this. We reserved a 2-night stay and learned it was their last weekend open for the season. Due to this, the pandemic, and the weather, we had the entire place to ourselves. Even if the place was fully booked, it's still relatively limited--preventing the place from ever being too populated. I think this was also intentional. It was surrounded by the forest and has trails for hiking on-site. There are beautiful horses that used to be for horseback riding services at one time but the horse have gotten older and since retired and living their twilight years in peace. There is a cafe/restaurant on site that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a very good menu and delicious food, try the stew! Cooking and serving the food is Mark, the owner/operator/chef/host/wildlife preservationist/conversationalist/storyteller/cat rescuer...I can go on. He is the best. I cannot say enough. This place has great history and character. If you leave the resort, there's plenty of hiking trails, lakes, and of course Mount Saint Helens--amazing. The local museums/etc were either closed due to covid or renovation. But the Observatory at the top is partially open with their gift shop. Eco Park Resort has become our new spot. It's an experience we will never forget and planning to return in the spring! Worth every penny.
