  • Amazing experience! Our guide Gavin led us into the underworld of Tuckaleechee yesterday, and it was fabulous. The pacing of the tour was just right, his commentary helpful and interesting, and plenty of time afforded for questions and photos. We feel fortunate to see this rare slice of history and geology. Suggestion: bring footwear suitable for hiking. And a camera!!! Thanks!
  • Amazing Cavern Tour! The Tuckaleechee Caverns guide was friendly and very informative in the cavern tour. The pathways were lit up and easy to see where you were walking. Pathways are made from cement and are somewhat rough to reduce slipperiness and gain traction. The cavern contains many steps made from cement. Tour the large rooms, stalagmites and stalactites, underground spring and a waterfall. The water is 99% pure and we were encouraged at one point to stop and get a drink. The guide stopped at several places throughout the cavern and offered to take group pictures if wanted. Approximate Tour: 1-hour Parking: Free Sales Tax Rate: 9.75% The temperature is advertised at 58 degrees year round. It was comfortable wearing shorts. If you have an interest in underground caves and the science of it, I would highly recommend touring the Tuchaleechee Caverns. You may choose to visit the gift shop at the caverns.
