  • Early summer, springtime, you'll see lots of butterflies on the "beach". The lake is bordered by a dam and the view of the Vermont Hillside is amazing.

  • This place is pretty nice. I definitely had a memorable weekend there. The bald mountain trail is pretty challenging to hike especially close to the top. The picture I attached is one view from the end of the trail. The campsites are a nice size and the bathrooms, showers, and water spigots are easily within walking distance no matter where you end up staying. You are a little close to other campsites but everyone else staying there was courteous about noise at night. If you're on the fence you should pull the trigger.
  • ❤️Townshend State Park! Great for camping out at and using as a put-in spot for kayaking/rafting trips on the West River, especially during dam releases. Kicked off an AMAZING Kayaking trip (paddled all the way down to Northampton, MA) here just before I went off to college, and night #1 was camping/putting in @ TSP.
