We stopped by just for a short visit. The pool/spring is almost two acres in size. The pool is very clear and has a rocky bottom. Plenty of catfish, but don't bring your pole. Varies in depth...

Beautiful, Serene… it was not crowded when we went (the day after Labor Day). It felt more special than usual. The water was a perfect temp, a few turtles and plenty of fish. I wish I had...

Surprisingly Awesome! This park features a extraordinary swimming area with clean and clear water, lots of space for kids and casual swimming in 3ft and 5ft water, and plenty of deep water (20 and 25ft) for snorkeling, Scuba, or adult-kids like me to enjoy jumping from the 3 low diving boards and 1 high diving board (approx 8ft above water). The park has dozens of picnic tables and benches, some with awnings for shade. Easy access to trash cans. Nice clean bathrooms with warm showers, not adjustable or "hot" but warm enough to be pleasant after the cool water of the pool. A large portion of the park was under construction when we went in April 2022, but if we come back to this part of Texas we will definitely stop here again.

Beautiful natural bottom pool. Snorkeling was amazing! Diving boards, plenty of picnic tables. Cleanest restrooms! Outside area for pets, for they are not allowed in swimming area. So bring plenty of water for pets. The park gets super hot! It is West Texas! Camping is closed, but there are accommodations in the town of Balmorhea. Very nice Park Rangers pleased to answer questions. Fort Davis State park is close by as well. A must visit if you make it to Balmorhea State Park!
