Soda Springs, Truckee

We were here just for a snow fun day. My kid loved it and I did too… we had a blast snow tubing and playing at the kids play area, it is a little pricey though. They have great customer service, place is clean (including restrooms). I can’t review on their food/snacks since we did not purchase any.

Decided to hit Soda Springs on a whim after traveling to find snow. What a score! Let me caveat this review by saying I am from Florida, so if you’re used to the snow, this place might not be for you. Took my 7 year old and had a wonderful experience. They were short staffed (but everyone is these days) but were so incredibly helpful and accommodating. Due to a delayed package I wound up having to purchase ski pants and gloves from their shop. Prices were reasonable and we will hold onto them for our next ski adventure. Shout out to the staff in the kid zone - they were awesome! My son who has never even seen snow before was a pro-snowboarder by the end of the day. They were so incredibly patient and kind. Let’s talk about Catherine, one of the ski patrols, who welcomed us with open arms and even offered to get us to our Uber driver who was stuck in traffic once the slopes closed. All in all a really wonderful experience. Would absolutely go again.
