  • My friend and I first saw the fall from the observation point and then we drove down to the park and walked to the base, it is flat threw the forest and it is about I would say a 30 min walk. People.....  more »
  • This park has many miles of trails including rim trails on both sides of the gorge. It ends up being a several mile loop if you do the whole loop. There is also a gorge trail that is 3/4 mile long.....  more »
  • Stopping in Ithaca for just a day, several locals said this was one of the top falls to visit...and it did not disappoint! The falls were magnificent...taller than Niagara. The trails were well kept and there were excellent photo opportunities. In addition to the hike down to the falls, the North Rim and South Rim trails were a great addition to the experience. Our elementary aged kids loves it. Its a great place for animals as lots of folks were walking their dogs. The restroom facilities were clean and well maintained while the gift shop and park employees were helpful in making the most of our time there. Parking was a little full on a Sunday afternoon, but there was a triathlon that day too.
  • I really have to say I enjoy walking the trails at Taughannock I don't seem to do it nearly as much as I should. But this last time I was there I walked the bottom trail and I walked it alone. I have walked that trail probably 50 times since I've lived in Ithaca and that was the first time I walked the trail alone. It was just breath taking! I left my phone in the car as well!! Anyways I just wanted to say it is a wonderfully place to go for a walk!
