Visit the area, nestled in a mountainous region of the state, and marvel at its wide variety of plant life, which ranges from high-elevation forests to more desert-like stretches. Wander its network of hiking trails to explore these different climactic zones, and keep your eyes peeled for some of the more than 200 species of birds that call the area home, including flycatchers, trogons, warblers, and more.   • Beautiful place to visit and hike. The drive from Tucson isn't that long and it's scenic. I think their maps and trial markings need a good update though. The maps are pretty confusing and the trail.....  more »
