Observe animals big and small from various corners of the world at Reid Park Zoo. At just under 10 hectares (24 acres), the zoo doesn't cover a lot of ground, but it makes up for this with the diverse animal life it presents. Tour the four zones here: the adaptation zone with its grizzly bear and giant tortoise, the South America zone with a resident jaguar, the Asian zone with its tiger, and the African animals zone with its lion and giraffe. The zoo caters to children by offering rides on its miniature train and a play zone with water-spraying structures. For a deeper educational experience, check the schedule for zookeeper chats and training demonstrations. Nice zoo. Not too big. Saw few animals unfamiliar with such as ant eater. At time we visited had dinosaur exhibit. Fun robotic dinosaurs. Lot of peacocks roaming around.

Great local zoo! My family (and especially my son) like to hit the zoos while on vacation. The Reid Park Zoo is well worth the visit. It is very affordable and there is plenty to see. My son really enjoyed the elephant exhibit and the giraffes The giraffe exhibit makes you feel as if you could reach out and pet them! It is not a very large zoo. So you could easily see it in an afternoon. Currently there is some construction going on, but it does not impact your visit. To zoo is located in Reid Park, so after your visit, stroll through the park!

Wonderful place to spend a couple of hours. Clean and well-kept. Lush trees, so it's even comfortable on a hot, sunny day. Beautiful animals and enclosures. Other fun activities like carousel and giraffe feeding and plenty of snacks (it's nice when all the food stands are open throughout, but they aren't always). Always a very nice visit!
