The Wild Center is located in the Adirondacks in northern New York. The Adirondacks are unique in the world. Surrounded by people, they house great expanses of nature interspersed with small towns and communities. They can be an example for a future where man and the rest of the natural world find better ways to coexist. Our Tupper Lake trip itinerary builder site makes visiting The Wild Center and other Tupper Lake attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.
The Wild Center is dedicated to understanding this rare place, is committed to helping people explore not a small collection, but one that lives and breathes across the entire expanse of the Adirondacks. The Wild Center is science-based, and its experiences, exhibits and programs are designed to open new ways to look into the latest discoveries made by natural scientists.
There may be no more important issue than discovering better ways to coexist with the rest of the natural world, and there may be no better place to understand that effort than in the Adirondacks.

We are on the fence about going only because of some of the reviews from Adults (went w/o kids). Happened to stop at the ADK rest stop, which opened a few years ago. While talking about the stop...

This place is amazing for all ages. So much to do. The trails through the forest are well groomed. The trail with speakers that are playing instrumental music is a really cool idea. The wild walk where you are up in the tree tops gives you a very beautiful view, especially in the fall during peak. I will definitely go back and have already suggested this destination to many friends.

Definitely a cool place to visit with some great things to see both indoors and out. They had some real nice trails leading down to the water where you’d swear you were the only people for 100 miles. My only disappointment was all the empty bird feeders along the trails so we saw very little wildlife. There were many feeding stations but they were all empty. The high catwalk thing was cool and has some nice viewing points. We saw a couple of squirrels and a few ducks but no other birds or wildlife which was disappointing.
