Caldwell Zoo houses more than 3,400 animals in six distinct habitats. At this 34 ha (85 acre) site, roam around an African savanna filled with lions, zebras, elephants, and giraffes. See native animals of the Americas, such as bison, eagles, and bears from North America, and macaws, giant anteaters, and large rodents from South America. Look for the aquarium that hosts an array of fish, tortoises, and penguins from Africa, and check out the herpetarium--home to snakes, lizards, frogs, and giant tarantulas. Listen to the local parakeets, and feed the free-flying cockatiels a handful of snacks. Put Caldwell Zoo at the forefront of your travel plans using our Tyler road trip app .

I go to to Caldwell zoo every now and then and I quite enjoy it! It has quite a bit of animals with plenty of information about them. The gift shop is very cute, overpriced, but still has some lovely ... more »
Very family friendly! Feeding camel cost $5 which was the most I have ever paid for 3 pieces of lettuce but the experience was worth it. Feeding the birds was less expensive at $1. Side note Texas citizens you ROCK every place I went everyone was so nice! We didn’t bring cash only card someone gave us a dollar to feed the birds. My little boy cannot thank you enough!
Man I like the this zoo. The prices were not bad roughly around $15 per adult and $12 per child. They sell food ice cream and the prices were not that bad large ice cream for $4. It did have a lot of animals to see. There was another section where you can pet the animals. Another section where you can throw food at them (you got to pay a quarter to feed the fish). It had a habitat for penguin snakes and birds. I really highly recommend you come see the zoo. just be warned I want when it was really hot so really dressed for the occasion it's not a terrible long walk. The bathrooms are clean.
