  • Beautiful place been going since I was a small girl. We use to go there and swim all the time. The pool is nice and cozy. As are the whole grounds. Breathtaking views. Very nice staff in addition. We walk the dogs around usually now then sit in back and have a bite when it's not busy. ( dogs ). The trails are amazing☀️❤
  • Always worth a day trip from Chicago! Every season offers new adventures and views. In winter you can see the frozen waterfalls and warm up at the Lodge. In spring see everything awaken and the waterfalls splashing down. In summer brave the heat. It's cooler near the river. In fall see the leaves turn. It's always beautiful. Lately, the state park is drawing bigger crowds so it's worth getting there early.
