  • Want to keep it hidden. Most beautiful state park in Illinois. Go somewhere else if you want to write on walls and throw dirty diapers on the trails  more »

  • I love going here. Winter with my children and brought back all the memories of when I walked these paths as a child. We had a great time lots of fun things to look at and places to explore. Very happy to see that everything is still very accessible and well maintained. Only explored about a quarter of the park will continue to go until the boys have seen it all. great memories for me and my family.
  • Worthwhile visit for scenery, views, learning, air, fun. The visitor center offers a mini museum war fantastic. They offered videos of choice if started like an hour before close. Clean restrooms. Gift shop. Food and treats. There was a bird watching area at the start of the trails. Was pretty cool and we happen to have been binoculars with us which made the experience so much better. Trails are not difficult. The French one had a waterfall view. We completed 3 trails and I had about 13K steps in.
