Columbia Springs, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, is a 100-acre natural area, educational center, and historic fish hatchery in the heart of Vancouver. Our goal is to use educational experiences to foster a greater awareness of the natural world, inspiring stewardship.

Columbia Springs engages the community through on-site education programs, off-site outreach programs, and service learning and volunteer opportunities.

Watch a kingfisher dive for dinner. Listen to blackbirds in the cattails. Throw some fish chow to the trout in our observation pond. Explore a gem in the city! Visit Columbia Springs’ 100 acres of urban natural area. The site is open and free to the public from dawn to dusk. Walking trails through wetlands, meadows, and forest provide an opportunity to explore Columbia Springs.

  • My kids enjoy this place. There is lots of hands on activities, trails, a little play area inside... lots of options. Great place to go on a rainy day.

  • A beautiful nature walk, fish hatchery, and educational experience all in one! Worth multiple visits at different times of the year. Great volunteers and well-maintained facilities.

  • Very fun little hikes. Fish if all ages to look at and fun for the kids and dogs!
  • Be sure to download the Adventure Lab app on your phone to enjoy the various opportunities to learn about the facilities. #SuperKnotts
