  • Next time you drive down Evergreen Highway and have a bit of time, stop in at the hatchery and nature preserve. Peaceful, educational, and a beautiful spot to enjoy nature.

  • My kids enjoy this place. There is lots of hands on activities, trails, a little play area inside... lots of options. Great place to go on a rainy day.

  • A well-maintained outdoor hatchery with green surroundings and informative displays. It seems that hiking trails extend every way from the parking lot, and we hope to explore more of them next time we visit.
  • Went for a quick trip after going to the water resource center. There were about 9 different spots where fish would be but only one spot had fish in it. We found out later that they had just completed a dump of fish at Lacamas Lake. The worker that we ran into was very educational and shared that there were about 8,000 fish in one of the small runs and that they would be placed into Lacamas, Klineline and Battle Ground. He also shared about an upcoming fishing event for little ones in May or so. There was an opportunity to feed the fish! It was so much fun. There were so many trails that could be walked and different parts of the springs that could be visited. Overall such a nice way to get outdoors and to learn about fish and their habitats!
