Lost Maples Winery is located on the Polvadeau Vineyards nestled in the Sabinal Canyon along the Sabinal River in Bandera County , Texas. It is graced by mountains and crystal clear springs that feed into the Sabinal River. The winery and vineyard are making excellent use of the land held in the Polvado family since land grants were issued ('Polvadeau' is the original spelling of 'Polvado'. It is of French origin.). We are the first commercial winery and commercial vineyard in Bandera County located 65 plus miles northwest of San Antonio, TX, on Highway 187 approximately 1 mile south of Lost Maples Park .Plan a trip to Vanderpool easily and quickly by telling Inspirock to suggest an itinerary.
At the Polvadeau Vineyards, we grow Black Spanish Lenoir Grapes, which were originally brought over from Spain into Mexico and Texas by missionaries in order to make communion wine. This grape has been around for hundreds of years and has survived droughts, cold winters, and floods. Today, the Black Spanish Lenoir Grape is making a name for itself with our award-winning wines.
We cordially invite you to stop in, draw up a chair, relax and enjoy some of the best wines the Texas Hill Country has to offer. Tastings cost $16 for generous pourings of six of our wines. The conversation is free, and we often provide live music on Saturday afternoons. Please check our page for our hours as we stay open an hour later in the Spring and Summers (close at 7 p.m.) and we close at 6 p.m. in the fall and winter. The tasting room is open Wednesdays through Sundays, but if you see the gate open, you're welcome to stop on by!
We hope to see you soon!

Lost Maples Winery reviews
Lost Maples has some beautiful vistas around it and the wine is decent. Very friendly folks in the tasting room and worth the stop weather you are just driving by or planning your visit there. more »
Spent some time at the winery after hiking. The gentleman helping us was super cool and we chatted with him for a while. We bought a bottle of their field blend as it was our favorite. more »
I have been to Lost Maples 3 times with friends and had so much fun. The wines are wonderful and Tom and Chris are great presenters and lots of entertaining fun! We will definitely go back and enjoy!
Much better wine tasting experience than the wineries near Fredricksburg. Wine tasting includes 11 wines. The vineyard manager (Chris) led our tasting and gave us a true insider insight into what we were tasting and why it tasted that way. We arrived 20 minutes before closing and he stayed open while we leisurely worked our way through the tasting. Great, great, great off the beaten path experience.
