We visited for the first time yesterday. The park is kept very clean and the small lake is pretty pristine for a city park. Lots of families were out flying kites, walking dogs, and just enjoying the sunshine and lots of grass. We saw Canada geese and a couple of other birds. There are plenty of picnic tables and a paved walkway around the lake. Admission and parking are free. On top of the hill it's a pleasant view in every direction - one way over the lake and the other way toward the city of Virginia Beach. I would recommend a visit if you're in the area.
I enjoyed myself. It's a beautiful park. There was so much open space. It was clean and I loved how everyone was so friendly. This is really a great place for family. It's a perfect place to fly kites or enjoy a picnic. I loved the exercise stations as well. No need to bring much with you for a workout.
