  • Firstly, it’s free to park and to enter - there’s a donation box so we dropped some dollars in. It’s a steady walk uphill. Lots of graves from the 1800’s - must have been a tough place to live back...  more »
  • This is great place to see some local history and get a feel for the spirit world. Although I didn't come into contact with any ghosts it was a great look out point.  more »
  • A cool old place. Many say it's haunted, most likely believeable. In the daytime it's just a cool old cemetery with 100+ year old graves. Great view of Virginia city from there. Dogs welcome, just pick up after them. Some graves have coins and trinkets left for them. Say a prayer, leave a coin or flower but don't touch things left for the dead. Please be respectful! Could be your relatives!
  • I enjoyed the cemetery for its authenticity and age. You see how the elements wear down marble metal, and wood; but many of the trees and lilacs remain planted by the loved ones. This is a wild west cemetery and a tribute to those who lived those times. Miners, firemen, women and children, craftsmen, American born and from other countries. It is fascinating!
