6 miles or so round trip. Saw a seal, birds, and plants you can't see anywhere else on the island. End of the hike is in sand, so tennis shoes filled up. Would recommend sandals for the point.

Ka’Ena means “the heat”, and it is well named. Please bring a lot of water and unless you’re on on your ATV or fat bike, lace up them shoes this one’s not for slippuhs. No dogs or engines beyond the predator fence in the bird nesting area (which is where the farthest point is). Beautiful views of the ocean on one side, the green cliffs to the other side. Good fishing. Pack a picnic lunch for yourself- and again, more water than you think you should bring, and enjoy.
