  • This was one of the first things we did on the island. It had an easy terrain with a beautiful beach at the end. The wind was perfect because there is little shade and without it, it’d be quite hot...  more »
  • Loved how it is a bit secluded. You can hike to the point which was cool. The beach is quiet right now because the road is closed. Just park on the street. We had no problem.  more »
  • Amazing place to go see the nesting seabirds and the native plants. Really pristine shoreline. Great views, very good picture location. Be sure to stay on designated trails as seabirds nest on the ground here. Don't bring dogs as they are known to kill and scare the seabirds. Ka'Ena point is a must do for anybody who wants to see what a natural Hawaii coastline looks like. Be careful though as the waves here can be very dangerous and the rocks along the coast are sharp. The young albatross chicks are adorable. Be sure to take lots of pictures!
  • I enjoy hiking this lovely trail every Christmas to see the monk seals and nesting albatross. Bring a hat and bottles of water since it can get hot. There are no shady areas on the trail.
