    The Maili Pillbox hike was my favorite adventure on Oahu. It is located west of Ko’ Olina (where Aulani resides) and the trailhead is right off the highway. The hike is fairly steep on uneven rocks...

    Good info in previous reviews about how to get there (it's on google maps as Maili Pillbox - requested title addition from TA, we'll see...). this is not a hike for elderly/disabled/young children...

    When you get to the split in the trail, go left unless you want to be doing a near vertical climb/rock scramble. Not for the faint of heart. Awesome views at the top though.

    Fabulous views of the valley and ocean. Looking west to the sunset over the ocean. Afternoon hikes have plenty of sun exposure and a few spots with shade. The path can be narrow at times so be patient for groups coming your way. Stay hydrated, it's quite a bit of work on the way up. There are no markings for the trailhead, but it is on Kaukama Rd.
