It passes to the northwest of the town, flowing northeasterly to the Cottonwood River, with its waters then flowing to the Minnesota River and eventually the Mississippi River. Plum Creek lends its name to a regional library network.

  • Just a mile out of town, this was a 15 minute stop as it was a hot day. But we did walk to the Banks of the creek. A beautiful creek. Then hiked to the dugout site. Could have spent longer but needed....  more »
