#2 of 23 in Parks in Bucks County
The 500-acre Washington Crossing Historic Park hosts thousands of visitors every year who come to see the point from which a battered and dispirited American army launched a counterattack that reversed its long losing streak, preserving its will to fight.

The park also contains restored colonial buildings, Bowman’s Hill Tower, Revolutionary War soldiers’ graves, stone memorials, picnic pavilions and historic collections.

The Visitor Center is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Guided tours of the Historic Village are 10 AM - 4 PM.

Single site admission is $6 and combo tickets are $11. Tickets may be purchased at any of the three locations.

The recreational areas of the Park are open for use from dawn to dusk all year, weather permitting.

Tours and programs are sponsored by the non-profit Friends of Washington Crossing Park and the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.

  • Very educational state park - you can feel the history that happened here - not very well publicized as we happened on it accidentally.  more »

  • I cannot say enough good things about our experience today with the Rangers at the nature center. Our home school group set up a pond exploration activity and it was beyond our expectations. The rangers started with a lovely story, gave the children knowledge and instruction - as well as provided them with a memorable experience. We are so grateful for their time today and recommend anyone to stop into the nature center and find out all they have to offer. They have turtles, snakes, and lots of educational activities for any age. They are beyond helpful and filled with knowledge.
  • Unspoiled parkland with good automobile access to all parts. Nice areas for picnicking, hiking, and lounging. The visitors center is full of historic revolutionary war relics. We got there too late to spend enough time appreciating it - will return. Buildings close at 4:00pm - park open until 8:00pm.
