  • Lots of interesting stuff to read. There isn't really much to it, but I did like looking at the historic buildings.  more »
  • We could not go into the museum because of Covid, but a lot of history and display's outside were enough to capture our interest etc.  more »
  • This was the gem I was looking for! It’s an awesome museum! Small but chock full of interesting artifacts from and about the island. I came to Washington Island to look for some information on the oldest Icelandic settlement in the U.S. and found it here and nowhere else. The docent was wonderfully informative and spent time past closing to show me other resources that I might find at the Fair Isle Bookstore, which is another awesome gem on the island. If you have any interest in the history of the island and its people, you won’t want to miss this museum.
  • I loved it ❤️. Some very interesting finds. And I particularly like the ship middles made of birch, the history of Mr. Jacobsen and people of the island.
